50 Plants & Animals at the Heath

The children at Hampstead Elementary spent a day at the Hampstead Heath looking for 50 plants and animals. After making notes, taking photos of birds and collecting samples of plants, the children are now researching further and are working on compiling their findings in a small booklet. Another 50 at 50 pledge completed!

The Elementary and Children’s Houses at Hampstead had their Special Visitors Day recently. The children invited their family and friends to visit their classroom and showed them their favourite material and what they enjoy doing in class.

Cheesemaking at Hampstead

Children at Hampstead Elementary made fresh Ricotta cheese at school this week. Carefully following a recipe, milk was boiled and citric acid added to curdle it. After cooling, the cheese was scooped into small draining baskets and stored in the refrigerator, ready for tasting the following day!

50 Finnish Stars at West Hampstead

The children at our West Hampstead site baked 50 Finnish star pastries before school closed for half term. They learnt how to fold in the corners of a square piece of puff pastry to make the star shape.
