Are you interested in Montessori teacher training with us? Perhaps you would like to learn more about our degree route with the University of East London from someone who has taken the course?
We’re delighted to announce an online “Meet a Graduate” event on the 9th March with graduate Katia who took our foundation degree from 2018-2020. Katia will talk about studying with us and will also be able to answer your questions. She will be joined for the discussion by our Director of Training, Louise Livingston.
31-year-old Katia is originally from Mexico and moved to the UK in 2008. After working as a nanny for over ten years, she wanted to deepen her understanding of children’s behaviour and how best to support their development. She had heard of Montessori and decided she wanted to train as a Montessori teacher. She started studying with us in 2018 and graduated with a Foundation Degree in Montessori Pedagogy (AMI 3-6) from the University of East London in the summer of 2020. She was also awarded the coveted AMI Diploma 3-6 which all our degree students also gain. Katia chose our degree route rather than our AMI Diploma course as she wanted to gain the degree qualification and also access student loan funding.
Katia is now in the process of starting her own Montessori preschool in Margate, Kent. After years of experience caring for children, the degree gave her a deeper knowledge in children’s development, the confidence and the certification needed to start her own business.
Register to attend the “Meet a Graduate” event on the 9th March.
