Our annual AMI Refresher course for Montessori diploma holders will run online in November for the first time with four two-hour-long sessions on Thursdays. This means that our graduates and other Montessori diploma holders from around the world will now be able to attend our popular refresher course online.
The course will be an opportunity to look again at the principles of practical life, which is such a significant part of the Montessori approach. It will be led by our Director of Training of Louise Livingston who will draw on her fascinating post-graduate research into the importance of movement and how neuroscience shows this is linked to children’s ability to self-regulate and pay attention. The course will include techniques to observe and engage children in activities that support motor skills as well as explaining how to prepare the practical life area of your environment so it has the most impact on motor skills.
