0-3 years – ONLINE COURSE – part-time over six weeks
Tuesday 2nd  February – Thursday 18th March 2021 (no lectures week of 15th February – half term in UK)
Two live online sessions held each week on Tuesday and Thursday, 6.30pm – 8:45pm UK time (UTC)
Plus additional hours of recorded lectures, videos and reading in your own time (making approximately 8 hours a week of directed study). In addition, there are some short assignments and observations to do across the six weeks.

3-6 years – ONLINE COURSE – part-time over six weeks
Tuesday 20th April – Thursday 27th May 2021
Three live online sessions held each week on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6.00pm – 8:00pm UK time (UTC)
Plus additional hours of recorded lectures, videos and reading in your own time (making approximately 8 hours a week of directed study). In addition, there are some short assignments and observations to do across the six weeks.

6-12 years – ONLINE COURSE – part-time over three weeks
Wednesday 24th February – Monday 15th March 2021
Three live online sessions held each week on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6.30pm – 8:45pm UK time (UTC)
Plus additional hours of recorded lectures, videos and reading in your own time (making approximately 16 hours a week of directed study). In addition, there are some short assignments and observations to do across the three weeks.

How will I study?

  • Lectures and discussion with our trainers who are experienced Montessori teachers
  • Demonstrations of Montessori materials and resources
  • Observing children (this can be done face-to-face, in our online courses this will be done via online exercises)
  • Independent reading and study
  • Our AMI Assistants Certificate 3-6 course starting in June 2020 and 0-3 course starting in September 2020 will be live online sessions

Who can take this course?

  • You must be at least 18
  • We may interview applicants – via Zoom or similar

Do you accept students from outside the UK?

Our students come from all over the world and our fees are the same for everyone. Our online courses can be taken from anywhere in the world but will be delivered via live online sessions on Zoom so you will need to check the time in your time zone. You will need to check you can use Zoom in your country.

What will I need to do to gain the qualification?

  • 90% course attendance
  • 9 hours of observation of children/ completion of online observation exercises
  • Three 500 word essays
