Discover the importance of emotional well-being in the early childhood years and how teachers and parents can support this. This talk will focus on helping children to develop emotional literacy and well-being, as well as strategies for children who are overwhelmed by their ‘big feelings’. The session is led by Montessori-trained Sarah Emerson.

About the Speaker
Sarah Emerson is a director at Kids Love Nature, where she provides training to Montessori nurseries and nurseries that focus on connecting children to the natural world. Sarah is Montessori trained from 0-6 years with AMI. She also holds an MA in Early Childhood Education and a postgraduate certificate in Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Well-being. Sarah has studied relaxation for children and is trained in the Forest School Approach. She has published articles, contributed to books and spoken internationally on early childhood practice and educational leadership.

Who is the event for?
The talk is suitable for teachers, anyone working with children, parents, grandparents, carers, nannies and childminders. The event will focus on the emotional development of children aged under 6 years.
Where will I access the event?
The talk will take place live online. You can access the event on a PC/laptop/tablet/smartphone with speakers, a microphone and a good internet connection. You will have some opportunities to ask the trainer questions during the session.
Do you accept students from outside the UK?
The event can be attended anywhere in the world but will be delivered live on Zoom so you will need to check the time in your time zone. You will also need to check you can use Zoom in your country.
