Montessori and Children’s Emotional Well-being – for Teachers

One of the biggest challenges facing anyone working with children today is supporting their emotional resilience. This online course over six sessions with Sarah Emerson will bring together the Montessori approach and contemporary understanding of emotional development to help teachers support children’s emotional well-being.

“It is interesting to notice that where life is simple and natural and where the children participate in the adult’s life, they are calm and happy.”
Maria Montessori, The 1946 London Lectures

The course is especially for those with a Montessori Diploma 3-6 and will include both theory and practical strategies to support children’s well-being, resilience and behavioural responses. The obstacles to children’s development are rapidly changing all the time, and this course will enable teachers to revisit and reflect on their Montessori practice and combine it with findings from the latest research as we look to continue our work in supporting children.

Students who attended our lecture on this topic with trainer Sarah Emerson said:

“Honestly, I liked everything about it! Such an important topic, this lecture should be compulsory for everyone working with children”

“I felt the trainer was very knowledgeable and that the information she provided was applicable”

“What I most liked about the course were the clear tools and examples to deal with the child’s emotions in our everyday life”
