The Maria Montessori School, an extension of the Maria Montessori Institute, enrols over 200 children between the ages of 2.5 and 16 years across various sites in North West and West London. We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Elementary Teacher –  We are currently looking to expand our Elementary team and are seeking an AMI 6 to 12 trained teacher to join our Elementary team. The position will be based in the Upper Elementary Class at our Hampstead location, and the role will entail working in collaboration with the Upper Elementary Lead in implementing the full breadth of the Elementary curriculum, supporting the social and emotional development of the children, preparing and maintaining a beautiful classroom environment, and facilitating strong, professional relationships with the parents and families of the school. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as to safeguarding the welfare of children. The Elementary Teacher role is a full-time, salaried position beginning the end of April 2025. Successful applicants are required to provide enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by the employer. 

Elementary SENDCO – We are currently seeking candidates interested in joining our Elementary team in the role of Elementary SENDCO. The role entails overseeing the day-to-day responsibility of the school’s SEND policy and the coordination of the provision for individual children with SEND at the Elementary level. This includes guiding and leading teachers in developing targets for the children and supporting the children and families throughout the process. Experience working with 6-to-12 year old children is required (and experience in a Montessori environment is ideal). Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as to safeguarding the welfare of children. The Elementary SENDCO role is a full-time, salaried position beginning in September 2025 (or sooner if possible). Successful applicants are required to provide enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by the employer. 

Adolescent Humanities Teacher – We are seeking a qualified candidates to join our passionate team of Secondary School teachers as the Humanities and English Language Teacher of the Adolescent programme (12 to 16 year olds). Experience working with Secondary School students is required and an AMI 12-18 Diploma (or an interest in obtaining the diploma) is preferred. The role will entail developing a rich offering of lessons and opportunities across the English Language, Literature, and Humanities areas, building relationships amongst experts in London that will allow for side-by-side learning, and facilitating strong, professional relationships with the parents and families of the school. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as to safeguarding the welfare of children. The Adolescent Humanities and English Language Teacher is a full-time position beginning in September 2025. Successful applicants are required to provide enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
