The Maria Montessori School is the exemplar school of the Maria Montessori Institute.  Catering for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years the school is based across various sites in North West and West London, UK.

With a 50 year tradition of AMI Montessori as both a school and training institute, we are deeply committed to Montessori’s vision for the child.

 

HEAD OF SCHOOL 

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head of School to provide leadership and cultivate a flourishing school community of children, parents and staff from September 2019.  The successful candidate will hold an AMI Diploma for at least one level, have leadership experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive, energetic approach to problem solving, combined with a flair for team building.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a historic organisation that is a focal point and resource centre for Montessori education in the UK through schools, training, parental and other forms of outreach.

MONTESSORI TEACHERS – THE GOWER SCHOOL 

The Gower School requires qualified and enthusiastic Montessori teachers for their expanding accredited nursery and primary school.  They have both term time and full time positions available.  Candidates need to be highly motivated, sensitive, flexible, enthusiastic, reliable, dedicated and passionate with a good team spirit and able to contribute to a strong team.  They offer an excellent staff training package and you are guaranteed a minimum of 5 full days’ training per year, plus the opportunity to access long term courses.  The Gower School offers good working conditions and will provide you with all your meals.  They would welcome any students who would like to do their placement with them in the nursery and the primary school.  They would also like to be able to offer teaching practice placements for students who are doing their diploma.

NURSERY PRACTITIONERS – THE GOWER SCHOOL 

The Gower School requires Nursery Practitioners (NVQ 3 or NVQ 2 in Childcare) to work within our expanding nursery. You will be a key person to a specific group of children and be responsible for liaising with parents on all aspects of their child’s care and development. This position involves monitoring children’s development, progression and planning their next steps. They offer an excellent working environment in a well-resourced accredited Montessori nursery. The nursery is open from 8am to 6pm, 48 weeks of the year and staff work within a shift system. Salary will be discussed at the interview.
