Part of the Maria Montessori School, our incredibly spacious, light and airy bilingual Children’s House (nursery/ preschool aged 2 ½ – 6 years) in Notting Hill (W11) offers a welcoming oasis for up to 24 children. The building has large windows looking out on to a terraced area with mature trees which the children can use and enjoy in all weathers. This site offers a calm but productive environment for children aged 2 ½ – 6 years, some of whom will go on to join our Elementary class in Bayswater (6-12 years).
Open Days and Class Observation Visits:
You can attend a school visit and class observation at any time. This is a chance for you to see the school and observe the children and the classroom in action. Book a school visit and class observation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Open Days take place once a term where you will hear a talk about Montessori, how it works and about our authentic Montessori approach. You will see demonstrations of Montessori materials, have the chance to meet the teachers and take part of a Q&A at the end.

Mandarin-English Bilingual – this site is English Mandarin Montessori Bilingual. An AMI trained Montessori Mandarin Teacher works in partnership with our Lead Teacher to implement a model Montessori Bilingual Programme and introduce the Montessori materials and presentations in Mandarin. Children will receive a rich foundation for language in both English and Mandarin during a period of development in which the children are absorbing language and their environment with an impressive ease.
Our lead teacher at Notting Hill holds the world-recognised Association Montessori Internationale Diploma and has a degree in pre-school teaching. The children enjoy high-quality free-range and seasonal food from British suppliers prepared by a specialist caterer. Our Children’s Houses are accredited by Montessori Education UK.
“The way in which staff develop pupils’ independence, resilience and personal and social development is a strength. Pupils are confident, motivated and eager to learn.”
