AMI Refresher 0-6 years - Helping Parents to Help Themselves

Our 2025 AMI Refresher is suitable for those trained in/ working at the 0-3 or 3-6-years stages of development. As Montessori trained adults we know how helpful it is to have understood that education is an aid to life based on understanding how children develop but how do we help parents to understand this so they can use this knowledge to help their children? This Refresher will explore this topic, helping participants to find the right way to engage parents in understanding without overwhelming them with theory – so that they start to understand from a practical viewpoint and feel enabled to help their own children. The course will look at: • Supporting the emotional well-being of children • Understanding how children learn – making the neuroscience simple • How to observe so we see • Supporting independence – both physical and psychological aspects
