“It is second nature for pupils to support each other, both academically and socially. This builds an inclusive community where everyone is involved in activities if they wish to be.”Ofsted
“Across the early years (children’s house) curriculum, the school has precisely identified what children should learn. Teachers carefully check and evaluate what children know. The strong impact of this work is evident in children’s secure recall of their learning, the work that they produce and their incredibly high levels of engagement and concentration.”Ofsted
“Pupils’ preparation for life beyond this school, including helping pupils to become positive members of society, underpins all aspects of the school’s provision. There is a vast range of opportunities that stretch and challenge pupils’ talents and interests and support the development of life skills.”Ofsted
The school was visited by five experienced inspectors, all of whom were visiting a Montessori school for their first time and all of whom stated on countless occasions how impressed they were by the children’s independence, their high level of responsibility, and their sustained levels of concentration from a very young age. The inspectors described the classroom environments as calm and peaceful, with endless opportunities for children to grow and stretch themselves (and at one point referring to some of the children’s Elementary work as being equivalent to “A level” work). It was a true privilege to hear the inspectors’ reflections on their time in our classrooms, describing their visit in the school as ‘a real honour.’
“I cannot praise this school highly enough. If you want a 360 approach to education, a great community, authentic Montessori and passionate and competent teachers, there is no better place.”Maria Montessori School parent
