Children in the Lower Elementary Phoenix class, at Hampstead, were recently involved in a dissection of a squid exercise!
The children are learning how to scientifically classify the Animal Kingdom, will be studying the most common Phyla, and look more closely at the Phylum Mollusca. They learnt that the squid is in the same classification as their pet snail and also that the colossal squid is the largest invertebrate.
