We are delighted to announce a free of charge online lecture from our AMI Diploma 0-3 Course Co-Director on “The Practical Life of a Child Under Three”.
Join Sara Brady, our 0-3 (Assistants to Infancy) Course Co-Director from 9.30-10.30 am (UK time) on Saturday 11th November 2023 to discover the Montessori concept of Practical Life in the earliest years.
Practical Life refers to simple daily activities such as getting dressed, preparing a snack or helping with household tasks like hanging washing or tidying up toys. Discover how supporting young children to participate in these activities will develop their concentration and motor skills and nourish their confidence and independence.
This online lecture is suitable for parents, Montessorians and anyone working with children and families or interested in the Montessori approach. Join Sara’s lecture to hear about:
• Suggestions for developmentally appropriate activities that are easily prepared
• Benefits that the young child experiences when encouraged to be an active participant in everyday activities
• The importance of collaboration and doing things with the child rather than for them
This is a rare opportunity to hear from a leading expert on Montessori in the earliest years and a fantastic introduction to the world-renowned AMI Diploma 0-3 course which we will be running over two summers in London starting in July 2024.
