AMI Assistants Certificate

Objectives
The purpose of the course is to provide an introduction to the philosophy and practice of the Montessori approach.

Montessori identified different stages in children’s development and the AMI Assistants Certificate courses offered by the MMI are crafted according to these stages: 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 years.

Entry Requirements
Successful telephone interview.

Programme
The courses cover:

  • An introduction to Montessori Child Psychology and Child Development
  • An Introduction to Montessori Educational Theory and Practice Observation
  • An Introduction to the relevant Montessori Educational stage (0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 years)

3-6 years
6th November – 1st December 2017
(Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 5:00pm)

6-12 years
26th June – 8th July 2017
(Monday to Saturday, 9:30am – 4:30pm)

Award of Certificate 
The Certificate is awarded to students who

  • Have satisfied the 90% attendance requirements and have completed coursework to the required standard
