AMI Refresher Course 2018
From the Garden to the Table
Food is an essential component of any culture, and as children are adapting to culture and society, food plays an active and important role in their development. This workshop will explore the aspects of food, from seed to table, and the multitude of opportunities these activities offer the developing child.
Join us as we explore and come to understand the needs of the child across the first and second planes of development when it comes to growing, preparing and sharing food as a community. We hope to offer you inspiration and hands-on experiences with theoretical support and ideas for practical implementation.
This workshop, presented by AMI Trainers Liza Davis and Andrea Fleener, is suitable for 3-6 and 6-12 AMI Diploma holders.
Please note that to be awarded the AMI Refresher Certificate you must hold an AMI Diploma, have valid AMI Membership and attend both days.
This workshop is also open to non-AMI Diploma holders working in a Montessori environment who will receive a Maria Montessori Institute Professional Development certificate of attendance. If you do not hold an AMI Diploma, click here.
